Favorite Offerings for Lord Hanuman
Lord Hanuman is a very popular deity in the Hindu religion. The monkey god is an important character in the Ramayana epic, as he helps Lord Rama wage war against the demon king of Lanka, Ravana, and rescue Sita.
Hanuman is the greatest devotee of Rama. He is believed to be an incarnation of Shiva. He is also one of the Chiranjeevis or immortals in Hindu mythology. An entire chapter in the Ramayana – Sundara Kandam - is dedicated to Hanuman. In fact, it forms the heart of the epic.
Sundara Kandam narrates the exploits of Hanuman. It describes his selflessness, strength, loyalty, and devotion to Rama. Hanuman was fondly called “Sundara” by Anjani, his mother, and Sage Valmiki chose this name over others. Sundara Kanda also describes Hanuman's journey to Lanka.

He has the power to heal ailments, remove obstacles, and destroy evil forces. He also removes his devotees’ sufferings, impurities, and imperfections. He grants protection from evil spirits, kala nazar (evil eye) and negative energies.

Lord Hanuman’s Favorite Food
Food is an important element of the offerings to a deity. For instance, Ganesha’s favorite food is Modak and other sweets. His brother, Muruga, prefers Kozhukkattais. Shiva likes milk, Vishnu prefers bananas, and Shani loves black sesame laddoos. Goddess Saraswati loves fruits, Lakshmi loves kheer, and Durga likes moong dal khichdi.

Imarti: One of Hanuman’s favorite foods is Imarti. It is a sweet and crispy dish made of black gram. People who want their wishes to be fulfilled offer it to Hanuman on his special day, Tuesday or on his birthday, Hanuman Jayanti.
Laddoo: Hanuman loves 3 types of laddoos - Kesariya Boondi laddoo, Besan ke laddoo, and Malai-Mishri laddoo. Besan laddoo is his favorite.
Saffron rice: Saffron rice is also dear to Hanuman. He is believed to resolve all your problems if you offer it to him.
Jaggery Prasad: Jaggery and gram are offered to Hanuman as a remedy for Mangal Dosha, as it can remove the Dosha. If you cannot afford anything else, you can offer jaggery and gram.
Paan: If you are facing a major crisis in your life, put your trust in Hanuman and offer Paan to him. Banarsi Paan is best. You will be surprised by the results. Hanuman loves Paan a lot.
Paanch nuts: Almond, Cashew, Chuura, Raisins, and Khopragit are called Panchameva. All these are dear to Hanuman.
Chana Gur: Simple yet nutritious, it is made of jaggery and roasted black gram.
Kesari Bhaat: It is a sweet dish made of saffron-infused rice and ghee.
Hanuman’s Favorite Flowers
Hanuman’s favorite flower is Jasmine/Chameli. Offer him five Jasmine flowers, along with sindoor/vermilion. This will remove all evils from your life.
Hanuman’s Favorite Color
Hanuman’s favorite color is saffron. Offer a saffron or red flag to him on Purnima days to please him.
Sindoor (Vermilion)
Sindoor is an all-time favorite of Hanuman. Once, Hanuman asked Sita why she wore sindoor. Sita replied that it was to show her devotion to Rama. On hearing this, Hanuman covered his body completely with sindoor.
When to Worship Hanuman
Hanuman Jayanti, Tuesdays, and Purnima days are the best days to worship Hanuman. People also worship him on Saturdays along with Shani Dev.
