Vasantha Navaratri: The Time for Spiritual Spring Cleaning
Spring represents rebirth, life, vitality, renewal, growth and purity. We throw open our windows of our homes to blow out the stale airs of winter to allow the fresh air of spring to blow out the cobwebs, invite new abundance and levity in, and create new opportunities. Similarly, this is the time for spiritual spring cleaning. Embrace Vasantha Navaratri, also called Spring Navaratri, and rejuvenate your life.

'Navaratri' or the Nine Nights of the Goddess refers to a series of nine nights celebrated 4 times a year, when creative energy or Goddess energy is at its peak. Prayers offered during these nine nights will aid in material and spiritual progress. Though it occurs 4 times a year, only two of them are celebrated with pomp and gaiety in India. Of these, the 'Sharada Navaratri' in the fall and the 'Vasantha Navaratri' in the spring, are considered vital.

During Sharada Navaratri in 2009, 3 'New Goddesses' were identified. The 9 nights are divided into 3: the first 3 nights are for Durga, the next 3 are for Lakshmi, and the final 3 are for Saraswati. This Spring Navaratri, we are featuring the 3 "New Goddesses":

  1. Ayur Devi is a form of Durga, who represents power to destroy negativity in the form of poverty, laziness, fear and evil and criminal tendencies as well as renewal of health via ayurvedic secrets (open the windows and blow out the cobwebs)
  2. Amrita Lakshmika is a new Lakshmi who is predominantly the energy of luxury, wealth and material power (invite and allow for abundance and joy)
  3. Anuradha Kramana Saraswati is the Satya Yuga Saraswati. She is in charge of inspiration, motivation, discrimination, knowledge, music, fine arts, science and technology (create new opportunities).
Lalita Tripura Sundari is a Goddess who is representative of these three Goddesses in one form: Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. To enable you to capture the energy uniquely available on these 9 nights for you prosperity throughout the year, we are energizing 2" Maha Merus made of 5 sacred metals and plated with gold. The Maha Meru will be infused with the vibrations of the new Goddesses who will rule the Golden age. The Maha Meru is the 3-D representation of the Sri Chakra, a symbol infused with the sacred geometry of the Goddess Lalita.

The mantra for all 3 Goddesses:
"Om Aim Shreem Kleem Namaha"

Invoking the Goddess is a super technology. Many priests are not trained in the esoteric tradition. Only tantric adepts know the true secrets of the Goddess worship. We offer you the opportunity to partake in the Grand Homa at our Temple and Homa Center performed by such adepts. The homas will feature Ayur Devi for the first 3 nights, Amrita Lakshmika on the next 3 nights, and Anuradha Kramana Saraswati on the final 3 nights. As a special offering, we are also performing a Durga Ashtami Homa on the 8th night (8th moon) which is especially auspicious when it occurs during Navaratri.
