Malleswaram Arya Vysya Sangha (MAVS) was formed in 1927. During this time, only nine inhabitants of the Vysya community resided in Malleswaram. In 1929, the community bought a plot to construct the Sree Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Devi Temple.

In 1934, idols of Sri Satyanarayana Swamy, Ganesha, and Navagrahas were brought and worshipped. Till 1993, the MAVS and the Vasavi temple were known as "Temple and Spiritual organization."

Since then, MAVS has become one of the outstanding temple organizations in South India. Malleswaram Arya Vysya Sangha (MAVS) not only performs rituals but also conducts spiritual, philosophical, medical, educational, social, cultural, and philanthropic activities in a commendable manner.

In 2002, MAVS constructed Sri Srikanteshwara Swamy Temple and installed Siva Lingam and Nithya Abisheka Lingam. Veda Bramha Sri Suresha Sharma and his team organize and conduct Sevas and Poojas in Sree Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Devi Temple.

The main priest, Veda Brahma Sri Nagaraj Shastry, and his team of Purohits adorn Devi Vasavi's idol on special occasions with unique decorations. Lakhs of people worship Devi Vasavi to fulfill the desires of devotees.

Sree Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Devi Temple performs a special Pooja every Tuesday and Friday to Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari and ritualistic Sevas like Unjal Seva as part of the daily rituals.

The temple performs Prakarotsava Seva and Vishesha Maha Mangala Aarti Seva on Purnima (Full Moon Day). Satyanarayana Swamy Vratha, monthly Shivratri, Pradosha Pooja, and Vishesha Thailabishekam to Shiva are also performed.
