Sculptor Kashinath created the idol of Shiva. Supposedly, the temple was built without any plan or blueprint. Sri Shankaracharya of Sringeri consecrated the temple on February 26, 1995. The Shivoham Shiva Temple, Bengaluru, was renamed in 2016 when the temple shifted its focus to help devotees attain Moksha through knowledge of the Vedic texts and principles.
