Introduction

Venus in the galaxy is the second planet from the Sun, and hence it is one of the hottest planets. In Vedic astrology, the planet is related to Shukra or Shukracharya, one of the greatest sages of all time. He was the owner of immense wisdom; however, as he was the counselor and protector of Detyas or Asuras, some of his characteristics are material comforts and luxuries.

To chant the Shukra mantra, it is best if you buy the Shukra Yantra first. In the Puja room, take some sandal powder and make rangoli. Then place a white cloth on that and keep the Yantra over it.

Offer sandal paste, turmeric, and vermilion to the Yantra. Offer some flowers too and light a lamp and incense sticks.

Take a mat and be seated; start chanting the mantra by having a Jaap Mala if possible.

One should choose Friday to start chanting the mantra since this is the day of Lord Venus. You can also choose the period when the Moon or Venus is in Bharani, Purvaphalguni, or Purvashada nakshatra.

Whichever mantra of Shukra you choose, it should be chanted 6000 times using the Jaap Mala, which usually has 108 beads in it.

Remember that you should only increase the number of chanting each time and not decrease it.
