 Sri Siddharameshwara Swamy Temple

According to legend, a few centuries ago, while two saints, Siddagiri and Ramagiri, were meditating on Shiva, a cow used to express milk daily at a particular spot. They were surprised to see it. One day, Shiva appeared in their dream and asked them to build a temple there. He also told them that the cow expressed milk on the Shiva Lingam under the earth.

Both saints built the Sri Siddharameshwara Swamy Temple on the spot. Shiva was pleased and told them their names would exist alongside his.

Sri Siddharameshwara Swamy Temple is in the Dravidian style of architecture. It has a seven-tier Rajagopuram with seven kalesa. Visitors climb a few steps to reach the entrance. Two arches are in the entrance, and a barricade is across the steps. The entire temple is white. A Dhwajasthambam is before the sanctum. It has a Mukha Mandapam with sculptured pillars.

A Panchaloha metal statue of Shiva with Trishul, Damaru accompanied by Siddagiri, Ramagiri, and Nagas is on the sanctum's pedestal. A big bell is at the entrance of the temple. Hanuman, Ayyappa, and Navagraha have separate shrines here. Kalabairavar is sculpted on the wall. Veerabhadra Swamy is the Kshetrapala.

Under the Peepal tree, there is a snake pit. The Sri Siddharameshwara Swamy Temple has a well that provides water year-round. The water is believed to have healing properties.
