The Ratnalayam Temple is in Aliabad' X' Roads, Shamirpet, Hyderabad, Telangana. It boasts a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
The Ratnalayam Temple is one of the most significant in India. Mr T. R. Venkatesh and Mrs T. Rama Devi built it. Mrs & Mr. T.R. Venkatesh conceived and nurtured the idea of building Ratnalayam Temple in memory of his father, the late T.P. Rathnaiah.
The aim behind constructing the Ratnalayam Temple is to help the underprivileged, many of whom cannot visit Tirumala Tirupati. Hence, they constructed this temple. All can visit the temple without any impediments.
Sri Tripurananda Swamy performed Bhoomi Pooja of the Ratnalayam Temple on 26 April, 2001. After 22 months of construction, the Ratnalayam Temple was consecrated on February 19, 2003. Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swami completed the prathishta of Sri Venkateswara, Alivelu Mangamma, Padmavathi, Ganesh, Hanuman, and Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parmeshwari idols with the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami.
Late Sri Mudumbai Ramanujacharya Swami and Late Sri Chandramouli Guru Swami performed a week-long Pooja as per the religious rites of Agama Shastra, Pancharatra after the prathishta at the Ratnalayam Temple.
Mr. M. Shankar designed the architecture of the Ratnalayam Temple. It boasts a typical South Indian architectural style. The famous sculptor Ganapathi Sthapathy sculpted the idols. They have been brought from Kanchipuram.
The temple entrance features three Gopurams for Venkateswara, Alivelu Mangamma, and Padmavathi. All Gopurams are painted in white color.
The Ratnalayam Temple is completely landscaped with beautiful gardens. Many small shrines are located in the garden. A fountain depicts the scene of Vishnu resting on Adishesha with his wives. The Shanku, Chakram, and Namam, the significant symbols of Sri Venkateswara, are structured as a fountain, giving a divine feel.
The presiding deity is Sri Venkateswara and his consorts, Alivelu Mangamma and Padmavathi. They grace devotees from the sanctum.
Yagashala, Kalyana Katta (tonsuring place), Pravachanam Hall (lecture hall), function hall, Goshala, lawns, cafeteria, old age home, parking facility, and a playpen for children are part of the Ratnalayam Temple.
Brahmotsavam, Pavitrotsavam, Adhyanotsavam, Vaikunta Ekadasi, Janmashtami, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Ugadi, Dusshera, Diwali, Sankranthi and Sri Vari Kalyanam are the main festivals in the Ratnalayam Temple.
Abishekam and Thiru Kalyanam of Sri Venkateswara are held on Shravana Nakshatra every month. The temple performs Abishekam for Anjaneya Swamy on Purva Bhadra. Abishekam for Abhaya Ganapathi and Vasavi Kanyaka Parmeshwari is also performed.

The Ratnalayam Temple remains open from 6.00 am to 12.00 pm and from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm from Monday to Friday. On Saturday, Sunday, and other holidays, the temple is open from 6.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
