Since India is mainly a country of Farming, the second harvest is expected during this season. It would be the time where the entire family would be concentrating on the yields, and the financial situation would be tight. Climate:

It would be a monsoon season where a lot of wind is expected. The entire month would be vulnerable to small communicable infections. Thus it was prevented to have a celebration like a wedding, which requires a lot of decorations and mainly cooking in the open spaces were a lot of hassles. Thus, to avoid these problems, the marriage was prevented.
