DateFebruary 11, 2013

Valentine’s Day is celebrated every year on February 14. Though there is no astrological validity for the day of love to fall on February 14th. But this year abundant Goddess energy will be available to make Valentine’s Day really special.

Relationships are created by the Goddess and they are fundamental to human happiness, success and serenity. Everyone wants relationships of some sort, and Astrology will help you enjoy relationships. Your astrology chart reveals how you relate to others in your life including yourself. Astrology is a science of the soul. It gives you deep insights in terms of true compatibility with other people in general, your partner or potential partner. Astrology provides powerful remedies for your relationship so you can protect, fix, or attract a new partner.

This year the placement of Venus on Valentine’s Day, supports relationships. Venus the planet that rules relationships and love, is strong and will continue to get stronger as it moves towards its place of exaltation (Pisces on March 17th). The High Time for relationships will be in March/April when Venus becomes fully exalted and radiates benefic energy of love for all. This Valentine’s Day is actually a good time to start or repair a relationship, as the ability to connect on the heart level will be supported by Venus for the next 3 months.

Radha Krishna is the epitome of Love and there is no better archetype for Venus then Radha & Krishna. Align yourself with the divine couple who are in eternal bliss. The blessings of the divine couple will enrich your relationships, strengthen relationship bond and increase marital delight.

Vasant Panchami: Goddess of Education & the 5th waxing Moon

The 5th waxing Moon while Sun is in Aquarius is very important for Saraswati, the Goddess of Education. This annual event is called, Vasant Panchami. This year it falls on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, and additional planetary alignments make this a very special Vasant Panchami. The star on this day will be Revati which is governed by Mercury the planet for knowledge. Plus Venus the planet that rules arts, music and culture is placed in the auspicious 11th house to the Moon receiving a favorable aspect from Jupiter the planet that rules education.

The Goddess gives consciousness, and in particular Saraswati gives you the consciousness required for learning music, art, culture, etc. That is why she is called the Goddess of Education. She is not a Goddess who belongs simply to a mythology, she is a goddess who is very much alive and active on the earth plane, and Her energy becomes abundantly available on Vasant Panchami.

The Goddess’ grace is particularly useful for students but not confined to them because everybody wants education whether in their own field, or in music, or in art. This is the day to access Divine support of Saraswati for education. So you can make use of this opportunity. We have 3 rituals; for increasing mental capacity, for gaining and retaining knowledge, and for grasping all studies.

1. To Increase Mental Capacity: Prayers are offered to Innambur Shiva. Shiva revealed the secrets of alphabets through which all understanding is done to Sage Agastya.

2. To Grasp all Studies: Prayers are offered to Hayagriva. Hayagriva is an avatar of Vishnu, worshipped as the God of knowledge and wisdom. He is the embodiment of all knowledge and grants the ability to grasp all subjects and that’s why His blessings are sought before initiating studies.

3. For Gaining and Retaining Knowledge and Success with Studies: Prayers are offered to Saraswati. Saraswati is the Goddess of Wisdom or knowledge and the arts. She inspires and enlivens creation and dispels the darkness of ignorance. Without her energy there is only chaos and confusion. (All students should seek her blessings.)
