Skandagiri Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Temple

This temple was built in the year 1960, by a group of passionate devotees. They are ardent devotees of Lord Subramanya, who formed a committee to celebrate the Aadi Krithigai. Lord Subramanya himself appeared in their dreams and asked them to avoid salt until the construction of the temple was completed. The Chapati completed the idol of Lord Ganesha, and it was time to install the idol in the temple. The committee members were looking for a suitable place. Kanchi Mahaperiyava was touring Hyderabad and found a suitable hillock with mystical powers. He felt it would make a good abode for Lord Subramanya.
