Auspicious of the auspicious! Parvathi! The fulfiller of the desires!
Protector of all – Three-eyed! Parvathi Devi! Narayani! We salute your divinity!

Durga is the Goddess of power, strength, devotion, and love. She is the divine consort and beloved of Lord Shiva since she is the form of Goddess Parvati. Fertility, power, virtue, and asceticism all represent her.

Anegudde Vinayaka

Further, she is the divine power since she is the physical manifestation of the Supreme Being. She is the driving force behind Universe, and she is the reason for the energy of all living beings. Every power in the world symbolizes Durga.

Chanting her mantra releases powerful vibrations in your mind and body; these vibrations connect you to the higher realm and Universe. The vibrations also soothe your soul and purify your karma, so you get free from worldly issues and attain liberation.

By chanting the mantra daily, you surrender yourself to Shakti or Universe, which in return gives you wisdom and guidance that eliminate all the worldly obstructions from your path.

Other than the mentioned meaning, there is a hidden meaning too. This includes the four attainments of life

  • Dharma or Purushartha (Dutiful Living)
  • Artha (Prosperity)
  • Kama (Desire)
  • Moksha (Liberation)

Hence by reciting this mantra, you don’t only revoke Goddess Durga, but you also grant yourself these four attainments and hence live a comfortable life in the materialistic world.

Many people also seek to awaken the Kundalini energy. When it is done with the help of a realized Guru, it can really vanish your ego and ignorance and takes you toward liberation and God.

Goddess Durga is the most auspicious, and she is holy. She protects her devotees against all the evil in the world and blesses them with courage and positivity.

She is full of compassion and love and treats her devotees like a mother treats her children. She was created to destroy the evil Mahishasura; she is also called the three-eyed one and Gauri.

She came to earth to destroy the buffalo-faced demon Mahishasura who was troubling the world after getting his boon. All three worlds suffered heavily because of the demon.

All Gods and humans were praying; the Gods reached to the Trinity, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva and requested them to put an end to the demon. The trinity gave it a thought, and to put an end to all the miseries, they created power, and Maa Durga manifested from that power as she was assigned to kill Mahishasura.

A fierce battle took place, and all the blood of the demon was falling on the ground. The demon also had a boon that with each droplet, a new demon will form; hence it was getting hard and hard to kill the demon entirely.

Goddess Durga then took her fierce and giant form. She started cutting the head of each demon produced from the droplets and drank every single blood drop of the demon. At last, she killed the demon with her Trident and drank all his blood.

This way, Mahishasura was killed forever by Goddess Durga. Durga is so compassionate; she even blessed the demon for liberation and the heavenly abode. This is why those who revere Goddess Durga get sanctified with her ultimate love and compassion that nothing can touch her devotees.

Chanting the Durga mantra is an effective way to get her blessings and to make your life better.
