However, the best Tithi is when the Ashtami falls on Tuesday or when it falls with the combination of Swathi Nakshatra.
You should chant the mantra during Mangala Hora or after sunset, or late at night. The Moola Mantra of Pratyangira Devi should be chanted 108 times or at least nine times. It can also be chanted 1,008 times.
This powerful mantra can be chanted by any man or woman of any age. However, a female should not chant the mantra during her menstrual cycle; men should also not chant the mantra if their wife has periods.
One should sit facing East direction while being on the Northeast quadrant of your house or puja room. The devotee should wear red clothes while chanting the mantra, though it is not compulsory.
You can also place the photo of Pratyangira Devi in front of you while chanting the mantra.
N be used to attain the Siddhis if you recite it 1008 times for 81 days. You can also chant the mantra upon a lime tied in red cloth or Kumkum for 81 days. If you are using Kumkum, you can apply this on your forehead for protection and get the blessings of Devi.
If you are using a lime, it can be hung at the entrance of your house or room to protect the good energy from evil powers.
After the puja is done, you need to make a food offering to Devi. One can offer lemon rice, puliyodhara, and panakam. Additionally, you can also offer a red banana, pomegranates, raisins, red grapes, dates, or any red fruit to Devi.
Similarly, any red color flower can be offered to Devi. You can offer fragrant flowers as well, like Jasmine. You can offer a lime garland made out of either 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90, 99, or 108 lime pieces.
