1.    Ashada Navaratri is a 9-day long festival dedicated to Goddess Shakti and celebrated during the lunar month of Ashada (Jun-Jul)

2.    It is also called Gupt Navaratri, as the celebration of Ashada Navaratri was believed to have been started by the Gupta empire in the medieval period. The word 'Gupt' also means secretive. Hence, Gupt Navaratri also denotes the worship of the Goddess with secret tantric methods for blessings.

3.    Like all other Navaratris, Ashada Navaratri is also dedicated to the worship of Goddess Trinity – Goddess Durga during the first three days, Goddess Lakshmi during the next three days, and Goddess Saraswati during the last three days of worship.
