Shani Jayanti is celebrated as birthday of Lord Shani. It is also known as Shanischara Jayanti or Sani Jayanti. It falls on Amavasya (New Moon) Waning Phase in the Hindu Lunar month of Vaisakh (May – Jun). This year it falls on Thursday, May 25, 2017.
