The 1st Solar Eclipse of 2023 will occur on Thursday, April 20, 2023. This solar eclipse will not be visible in India. As per astrology, the year’s first solar eclipse will occur in Aries and Ashwini Nakshatra. The day will be Amavasya (No Moon –New Moon Dark Night). The Sun will be transiting in Aries, and so will the Moon. Both will be transiting in the Ashwini nakshatra of Aries ruled by Ketu.
