Solar Eclipse 2023 (April 20, 2023, Thursday)

DateMarch 31, 2023

The 1st Solar Eclipse of 2023 will occur on Thursday, April 20, 2023. This solar eclipse will not be visible in India. As per astrology, the year’s first solar eclipse will occur in Aries and Ashwini Nakshatra. The day will be Amavasya (No Moon –New Moon Dark Night). The Sun will be transiting in Aries, and so will the Moon. Both will be transiting in the Ashwini nakshatra of Aries ruled by Ketu. However, the Sun and Moon traveling in the sign of Aries ruled by Mars may bring some favorable results in the life of natives and the world in general. However, the solar eclipse in Aries may bring out much internal instability and clashes within several countries. The annual solar eclipse will occur in the constellation Ashwini, ruled by Ketu, which could bring emotional imbalance, create illusions, and make you feel indecisive and insecure for some months. As the nakshatra Ashwini falls in the sign Aries, the House of Self, in the natural zodiac, there are chances for you to feel emotionally and mentally disoriented for a few weeks after this Solar eclipse, especially those natives whose zodiac signs are Aries and Sagittarius.

The coming solar eclipse on April 20, 2023, is a day of uncommon planetary alignment- the Sun and Rahu will be with two other planets, Moon and Mercury, in Aries. Sun and Rahu conjunction will be in the sign of Aries after 18 years. Although the Sun will be exalted in Aries, Rahu’s malefic chameleon nature overshadows all the positive qualities of the Sun and weakens the positive attributes of the Sun.

In addition, all the planets in the Aries sign will be aspected by Saturn on this day, which will happen in the Ashwini star. The energy of this star is Shidhra Vyapani Shakti (Power To Manifest Quickly). As all the planets transiting in Aries sign on this day will be in the Ashwini constellation, except for Mercury, Ketu gets involved in this eclipse since he is the Star Lord of Ashwini. Hence, both Rahu and Ketu may adversely influence this Solar Eclipse.
