What is solution for Rajju Dosham?

Rajju Porutham or Rajju matching is one of the most important factors or parameters in Marriage Matchmaking. This porutham is indicative of the duration of married life, and therefore its quite important.

Marriage matchmaking is called Thirumana Porutham in Tamil. It is a centuries-old practice in India among Hindus. As marriage is an important event in a person’s life, people needed an assurance that it would be lasting and successful. For this assurance, Hindus turned to Vedic Astrology. Horoscope matching or Kundli Matching is a tool that Vedic astrologers have traditionally used to provide this assurance. It is called Jathaka Porutham in Tamil. 

By matching the horoscopes of the boy and the girl, based on certain parameters, the astrologer would conclude if the marriage would be successful or not. This is called the koota method. 

Porutham (or koota) is analyzed using the horoscope or jathakam or kundali. These are drawn on the basis of the birth stars or Nakshatras and the Janma Rasi (Moon sign) of the girl and the boy. Initially, 20 poruthams were matched, but today, only ten poruthams are required.Each porutham is associated with various aspects of a person's mind, body, and personality. 8.Mahendra Porutham - progeny 
9.Stree deerga Porutham - wealth and prosperity
10.Rasiyathipaty Porutham - compatibility between birth stars

Rajju is the sixth among the ten poruthams that are matched before solemnizing a Hindu marriage. It is the most important among the ten kootas or poruthams because it indicates the husband's life span. The husband's long life obviously ensures the longevity of the marital union and marital happiness as sickness and death can impact the relationship negatively. 

The 27 Nakshatras or constellations are grouped under 5 categories. Each category is assigned a name, and it represents a part of the human body.

Padha Rajju: Ashwani, Aslesha, Magha, Jyesta, Moola, Revati.
Kati Rajju: Bharni, Pushyami, Pubba, Anuradha, Poorvashada, Uttrabhadra
Nabhi: Krittika, Punarvasu , Uttara, Visakha, Uttarashada, Poorvabhadra
Kanta Rajju: Rohini, Aridra, Hasta, Swati, Sravana, Satabhisha
Siro Rajju: Dhanista, Chitra, Mrigasira

The head is represented by Chitra, Mirgasira, and Dhanishta stars, and these are in siro rajju. The neck is represented by Ardhra, Rohini, Swati, Hasta, Sravana, and Satabisha stars, and these are in kanta rajju. Krithika, Uttara, Punarvasu, Visaka, Purvabadra, and Uttrashada stars represent the mid-portion of the body, and they are in nabhi rajju. The thigh is represented by Pushya, Barani, Pubba, Anuradha, Uttarabadra, and Purvashada stars, which are in kati rajju. The foot is represented by Aswini, Aslekha, Maka, Moola, Jyeshta and Revati stars which are in pada rajju.

What is Rajju Dosha?

If the birth stars or Nakshatras of the girl and the boy represent the same portion of the body, it means that their stars are not in agreement. This is called Rajju Dosha. Rajju matching should not be ignored because when it is matched properly, it can bring good fortune.

There are 5 kinds of Rajju Doshas.

Head rajju – this causes trouble to the husband.
Neck Rajju – causes trouble to the wife.
Body Rajju – causes trouble to children.
Thigh Rajju – financial / property problems.
Feet Rajju – damage during travel.

This is how it is interpreted:

• if the stars of the couple are found to be in the head, the husband may die soon
• if they are in the neck, the wife may die soon
• if they are in the middle portion, the children may die
• If they are under the thigh, extreme poverty is possible
• if they are in the foot, they will wander about in a pathetic manner

Therefore, Rajju matching is very important. 

Cancelling Rajju Dosha

If the lords of the boy and girl’s Rashis are the same, or if they are mutual friends, Rajju dosha is not considered, and the horoscopes can be matched despite the dosha. Even if their nakshatras are in the same Rajju, it can be ignored.

Some Pooja remedies can also be performed for Rajju dosha. This can cancel Rajju Dosha, and the natives can lead a happy married life. Jathaka porutham or Thirumana porutham should be done by an experienced and expert astrologer. When done properly, it can ensure that the right people are united in marriage, and they have a happy, long-lived, and fulfilling union.
