Sarabeshwara

Sarabeshwara is the most ferocious form of Lord Siva. According to Scripture, Sarabha incarnated to calm down Lord Narasimha’s wrath after he slew the demon Hiranyakashipu. He is described in the Shiva Purana as having a thousand arms, a lion-head with matted hair, and wings like a bird and eight feet. Sarabha has two consorts, Goddess Durga and Goddess Prathyangira, who form the mighty Lord’s wings. Sacred texts state that it was the two wings that helped soothe the anger of Narasimha. Hence worshipping this form of Shiva can invoke the combined blessings of four deities – (Lord Narasimha, Lord Sarabha, Goddess Durga, and Goddess Prathyangira).
