Vishnu is depicted reclining on Adishehsa (the king of snakes) with his consort Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. He has dark blue skin with four hands. The lower two hands have a lotus and mace, and his upper hands have the conch and the powerful weapon, Sudarshana Chakra. Vishnu has a myriad of forms, which he has taken during each Yuga (Epoch) for a particular purpose. His ten avatars are well known as Dashavatara.
