Fasting on Varalakshmi Pooja is observed in various ways. Some people refrain from consuming anything until the Pooja is completed and some people observe it from sunrise to sunset. In general, people also put in a lot of physical efforts to prepare for the Pooja and to perform the Pooja. So, the Vrat diet should be something that would keep you energized.

Milk
Milk is rich in calcium, and it is a liquid food that can be quite filling. As it is used in Abishekam (Hydration) of the Gods and Goddesses, it also considered being pure.

Consuming this would not only make you feel full but would also give the necessary energy. Dry fruits like almond and raisins are rich in magnesium and Vitamin E. You can also consume fruit juices to keep yourself fresh and most importantly, hydrated.
