This is a hymn addressed to Lord Ganesha, who is also known as “Vighneshwara”, the One who conquers obstacles. This Stotra praises his divine attributes and requests him to remove the obstacles from the devotee’s path. Ganesha is an elephant-headed deity and the elder son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Hindus worship him before beginning a new venture and also for ensuring the removal of obstacles. He is also known to bestow knowledge and wisdom. Chanting this Stotram is believed to get rid of obstacles to one’s progress and success.
