Neela Saraswati is a form of the fierce Goddess Tara Devi. She has a blue complexion and is different from the wisdom Goddess Saraswati. Also called Nila Saraswati, she is an ugra (angry) form of the Goddess and is similar to the fierce Goddess Kali. Though she looks ferocious and menacing, she is the ultimate destroyer of evil forces and a bestower of success, protection, and wellbeing. Neela Saraswati Stotram is a sacred hymn dedicated to the Goddess and describes her powers and blessings. Chanting or listening to this hymn can destroy enemies, sins, improve intellect, wisdom, grant fame, oratory and writing skills, and protection.
