Dakshinamurthy

Lord Shiva manifested in the form Dakshinamoorthy to impart the knowledge of the ultimate self to the four sons of Brahma- Sanaka, Sanatkumara, Sanatana, Sanatsujata. Just by the sight of the yoga posture assumed by the lord, the rishis got illumined. He taught that truth has to be directly experienced, than through explanation of words. Mere sight of the form of Lord Dakshinamoorthy is enough to drive away the darkness, and help gain wisdom and clarity. It makes one increasingly aware and conscious to the present moment. It is highly auspicious to meditate on this form and enjoy all the transcendental and material benefits.
