The Durga Suktam is found in Taittiriya Aranyaka, the major sacred text for Hindu rituals. Its lyrics mostly address Agni, the sacrificial fire. Agni also implies Goddess Durga indirectly. Through the Suktam, the devotee requests the Goddess and Agni to offer protection, grant moksha, happiness, and prosperity.
