The grand ritual spanning over two days starts with day 1 rituals of invoking the Goddess by chanting the divine Sanskrit verses of ‘Durga Saptashati’ which detail her different manifestations and praise her strategies and valor in the battlefield. Next, day 2 rituals help you to meditate on and deeply connect with Chandi, the Supreme protector via the sacred fire ceremony.
Devi Mahatmyam, also known as Durga Saptashati, celebrates Goddess Chandi in 700 verses. Throughout 13 chapters, the scripture portrays the victory of good over evil through the stories of Supreme Goddess Chandi slaying demons in her form as Goddess Durga, Goddess Kali and Goddess Chamundi. By chanting Devi Mahatmyam, you invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga, the Warrior Mother who can help you eradicate negativity and gain will power to effortlessly solve life problems.

On June 2nd, the Moon will be in the star Purva Phalguni, ruled by Venus. The Moon will be placed along with Rahu, making the day powerful to worship Goddess Chandi. This star relates to ‘Prajanana Shakti’, meaning the power to procreate or multiply. Moreover, the association of Moon with planet Rahu amplifies this energy to connect with the Goddess to seek powers to defeat negativity, create positivity and multiply abundance.
