Hayagriva: Archetype of Highest Knowledge & Abundance
- The Bhagavata Purana explains that during every Kalpa (single cycle of cosmos from creation to destruction, approximately 4,320 million human years) when Ajnana (ignorance) in the form of a demon steals the Vedas, Hayagriva incarnates and restores them.
- The sacred Purana also praises Hayagriva, the horse-necked avatar of Vishnu, as the embodiment of ultimate intelligence and wisdom.
- As the guru of goddess Saraswati, the celestial patron of arts and sciences, this avatar of Vishnu rules over all forms of knowledge and wisdom.
- Scriptures depicts him with a horse face and a human body who has four hands, with three hands holding a conch, discus, and rosary, and the fourth hand in a mudra (gesture) bestowing immense wealth and wisdom.
- As the archetype of the highest knowledge, propitiating him can invoke his blessings to use your knowledge and manifest abundance in life.
