Dr. Pillai’s Message on the Power of Rakakshi & Specialty of Maha Kumbabishekam
“We have an occasion that is coming up, the celebration called the Kumbhabishekam- which is making the God or Goddess powerful. And that happens once in 12 years and is going to happen for my own family temple. The Goddess is called Chintamani, a Wish-Fulfilling Gem, because she has the same characteristics- to fulfill the wishes of people who come to her.
She also has another name, Rakakshi, which means the Flame-Third-Eyed Goddess; her third eye is a flame. This third eye also does the same as Chintamani, which is to fulfill the desires and prayers of people.
So, you can also participate in that Kumbhabishekam, Hydration Ceremony through a special ritual offering, in which you will sponsor- a small/little copper pot. In that copper pot, the priest will put your name, written on a copper plate with your prayer, and for several days they will energize it, and then, that water will be poured over the deity and also on the big pot, which is on the tower of the temple. Thus, they will hydrate the deity and also the pot on the tower- a small tower- of the temple.
This is a once-in-12-year ceremony. So if you want to participate, you can do that. It is important to seek the help of the Divine beings to help fulfill your desires. So I recommend that you participate in this ritual.”
