Shiva as Lord Pashupatinathar Destroys Karma and Grants Prosperity

Lord Pashupatinathar, also known as Pashupati, is the Divine aspect of Shiva worshipped as the Lord of All Beings who dissolves negative karma that causes suffering in life and bestows wealth and happiness. According to sacred texts, all living beings are considered pashus or jivas because of their karmic bondage in this incarnation and previous lives. As Lord Pashupati, Shiva destroys pasas such as desires, negative character traits, addictions, and worldly attachments and frees people from the trap of ignorance and delusion, which impedes redemption.
AstroVed will invoke this unique manifestation of Shiva in a Grand 5-Priest Pashupatinathar Homam with Pancha Rudram Parayanam and Temple Poojas to receive his blessings, Divine power, and protection for gaining confidence and strength to face challenges, removing the adverse effects of negative infulences and unfavorable planets, resolving sins and bad karma, achieving success in undertakings, and ultimately attaining Moksha.

Why is Shiva Called Lord Pashupatinath

According to Shiva Purana, Lord Pashupati can help remove bad karma causing suffering and sorrow and bestow freedom from the cycle of birth and death.
Pashupatinathar is depicted with five faces (each turned towards a different direction) and seated in a meditative position. The five faces represent the five important incarnations of Shiva, and each one is associated with one of the Pancha Bhootas.
  • Sadyojatha facing west signifies Brahma and the element earth
  • Vamadeva facing north symbolizes Vishnu and the element water
  • Tatpurusha facing east represents the Sages and the element air
  • Aghora facing south signifies Rudra and the element fire
  • Ishana facing the zenith represents nature and the element space

Pancha Rudram Parayanam

Sri Rudram is a Vedic hymn composed as a prayer to Rudra to help change his aggressive form into a more peaceful form and invoke his abundant blessings. The prayer is divided into two halves, with eleven sections in each. ‘Namakam’ or ‘Rudram’ is the name given to the first, which contains verses that conclude with the word “Nama.” The second section is called ‘Chamakam, as the verses end in ‘Cha Me,’ meaning “may this be granted to me.” Pancha Rudram is a collection of five hymns that invokes Rudra’s blessings to help remove all forms of negativity and anxiety, as well as the sins and hardships that plague your lives so that you can experience the boons of good health, happiness, and prosperity.
