Who Is Vishnumaya Swami?

Vishnumaya Swamy is a powerful Kerala God who is believed to have powers to solve all life problems and protect from all kinds of negativity. According to legend, Vishnumaya was born as a son to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati with the help of Lord Vishnu. Worshiping this compassionate God of Kerala can remove your suffering caused due to Drishti, Dosha, and curses.

Vishnumaya Swamy Story

Vishnumaya Swamy is a famous God in Kerala who is worshipped to fulfil wishes, remove negativity & evil forces, overpower enemies, and gain overall prosperity. According to the temple legend, Lord Shiva went hunting and fell in love with a tribal woman named Koolivaka and conveyed his wish to have a child with her. Koolivaka, who was the daughter of the tribal king and a fervent devotee of Goddess Parvati, prayed and sought Parvati’s blessings to solve this problem. Goddess Parvati took the help of Lord Vishnu to disguise herself as Koolivaka and met Shiva as assured to Koolivaka. Out of their union, a child was born.
Lord Shiva named the child Vishnumaya, as he was born out of Maya created by Lord Vishnu to disguise Parvati. He blessed Vishnumaya to be the protector of all, gave him a buffalo as his Vahana, and ordered his Bhoota Gana to obey Vishnumaya’s orders. Goddess Parvati blessed him with two sticks called Kuruvadi, a potent weapon that can help instill Dharma and protect anyone who is in need.
