Palalsh (Butea monosperma)

Palalsh is a deciduous tree with a height of up to 15 meter. It has bright orange -red and yellow flowers. Palalsh is an important herb in Ayurveda and is commonly called Flame of the Forest, Tesu and Bastard Teak. The gum yielded by the tree along with leaves, bark, flowers and seeds are highly beneficial for medicinal purposes in Ayurveda.
