Day For Inviting Ever-Increasing Abundance

Associated with royalty, prosperity, beauty and abundance, Goddess Lakshmi is the enchanting supreme Goddess of Wealth. Vedas hail her as Sri, who is the magnanimous personification of growth and plenty. She is portrayed wearing rich silk clothes, adorned with stunning shiny jewels and a lotus garland. Sitting on a fully blossomed lotus, she can be seen with four hands, each holding a lotus, Sankh (Conch), a pot of gold/Divine nectar, and showing Varadha mudra (Boon-bestowing pose) from which golden coins are showered.
