Kubera is the giver of eternal wealth. But the goddess of wealth is Mahalakshmi. He ordered the wealth to be properly distributed among the devotees. Hence Kubera is called Lakshmi Kubera. Goddess Lakshmi and Kubera are the custodians and bestowers of wealth, prosperity, and success.

Originally, the presence of Goddess Lakshmi was never meant to be the goddess of wealth and material opulence. Lakshmi is connected with “ auspiciousness” or “ divinity, not wealth and riches that are related to material possessions. Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. She is the universal mother and the supreme feminine power.

Lord Kubera is responsible for allocating and distributing wealth. He is the owner of great treasures or even the banker of gods. He is associated with protecting the world through the equivalent distribution of money/wealth among mankind.

  • You need to light 16 small lights using ghee while performing pooja
  • For Lord Lakshmi, the pooja can be done with vilvam leaves.
  • For Naivedyam, Milk with nectar, Sarkarai pongal, or a drop of pure ghee is sufficient.
  • Use copper coins, silver coins, kumkum, and flowers for Pooja or Archana for Lord Kubera.
