Hanuman is a mighty God, highly revered and widely worshiped by the people. He is a unique divinity who combines in himself many rare and exceptional traits like physical strength, mental power, indomitable courage, sharp intellect, erudite scholarship, wisdom, humility, devotion, and a strong sense of service. Endowed with the face of a monkey, he is a staunch devotee of Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu, and plays a significant role in uniting Rama with his consort, Sita, in the epic Ramayana. Scriptures also regard him as the son of Vayu, the Wind God and an aspect of Shiva, and Chiranjeevi, an immortal.
Hanuman is also considered the overlord of Shani, planet Saturn.

Hanuman was born to the monkey chieftain Kesari and Anjana Devi by the grace of the Wind God; hence, he is also hailed as Vayu Putra. He possessed extraordinary strength and courage right from his childhood. Once, taking the Sun to be a ripe fruit, the young Hanuman leaped into the sky and tried to swallow the Sun when the celestial king Indra intervened and struck Hanuman down. When the enraged Wind God threatened to make life miserable by sucking all air from the atmosphere, the Gods revived Hanuman and blessed him with Divine powers, tremendous boons, and eternal life.
Then he became well-versed in scriptures, gained profound knowledge, became the confident of the Sun God's mortal son Sugriva, had the good fortune of meeting Rama and becoming his ardent devotee, located his consort Sita abducted by demon Ravana by crossing over the sea, fought along with Rama against the demon army, vanquished them, united Rama and Sita and thus paved the way for Rama to be crowned the king of Ayodhya.
While Hanuman Pooja will benefit anyone, this worship can be particularly favorable for those aspiring for physical, mental, and spiritual strength, courage, and self-esteem, seeking stable employment and relationships, and people wanting to solve problems and accomplish goals. Those undergoing Saturn's major planetary period, or 7 ½ years of Saturn, and those wishing to mitigate the challenges posed by the nine planets, especially Saturn and Mars, can also perform Hanuman Pooja for relief.
As Hanuman is the overlord of Saturn, Saturdays are considered Sacred for Hanuman worship. So, devotees can perform Hanuman Pooja during any auspicious Hora, a period of about 1 hour, on any Saturday.
