A very well-read person, Kumar is a post-graduate in four disciplines — Psychology, Counseling & Psychotherapy, Public Administration and Astrology. He also holds various post-graduate diplomas such as Human Resources Development, Guidance and Counseling. To top it all, he completed his graduation in Academic Laws and obtained his B.A.L. Degree. That he is also a gifted classical musician is another feather in his cap. His grandfather was a prominent personality who provided honorary astrological services in Tiruchirapalli from the 1960s to the 1980s. His mother too is a practising astrologer who offers honorary services.
