Manglik Dosha refers to Mars affliction. Mars, known as Mangal or Chevvai, is a malefic planet, and when it is placed in an unfavorable position at the time of the birth of an individual, as reflected in the horoscope, the person is said to be suffering from Manglik Dosha or Chevvai Dosham. This Dosha happens when Mars is found in the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or the 12th Houses from the Ascendant, or the Moon or Venus, in the natal chart.
