Nadi Astrology is also known as Kanda Astrology because the predictions on your Nadi leaf are segregated into 14 main Kandams or Chapters. Of these, first 12 Chapters relate to the 12 Houses of one's birth chart. Chapters 13 and 14 are remedial chapters.

Chapter 1 - General

It helps identify your personal details, like your name, your parents' names, and your spouse's name. The chapter also comprises of general predictions for the rest of your life. Reading of this chapter is considered to be mandatory.

Chapter 2 - Family and Finance

It describes the possessions you have acquired, your financial potential, family, education, and even about your health issues.

Chapter 3 - Siblings and Courage

It identifies the number of siblings you have, the nature of relationship (affection, ill feeling, and so on) with your siblings, your nativity, and also about your sensory organs.

Chapter 4 - Mother and Comforts

It contains information about your parents, house, vehicle, land, and pleasures you have in your possession.

Chapter 5 - Progeny

It tells about your children, their birth, and a part of their future too. Reasons for not having children will also be quoted, along with appropriate remedial measures for having children.

Chapter 6 - Debts, Disease and Litigation

It describes about your diseases, debts, enemies and legal issues, and suitable remedies too.

Chapter 7 - Marriage

It tells you about your marriage, the period of your marital life, the reasons for delay in your marriage, and the appropriate remedies. Also, the name of your bride or bridegroom, along with their planetary positions in the horoscope (lagnam), physical characteristics, occupation, religion, and direction and distance of residence of the bride or bridegroom are foreseen.

Chapter 8 - Longevity

It confirms about your longevity, mishaps in your life, and the exact details of your age of death, month, date, day, year, time, star, lagnam and place.

Chapter 9 - Spiritual Attainment and Fortunes

It contains relevant information about your father, his possessions in the form of wealth, and spiritualism, fortune, and philanthropic activities.

Chapter 10 - Profession

It tells you about your profession - future predictions regarding career or business, change in place of work, and ups and downs in profession.

Chapter 11 - Profits and Second Marriage

It summarizes about the profits you are about to attain, chances of entrepreneurship and second marriage.

Chapter 12 - Expenditure and Losses

It briefs you about your expenditures, foreign travels, next birth (incarnation), and attainment of salvation.

Chapter 13 - Shanti Chapter

It guides you on the sins you had committed in your previous or significant births, and its impact on your current life.

Chapter 14 - Diksha Chapter

It identifies the current negative influences due to unfavorable planetary positions, and casting of evil eye by jealous persons, which are the prime reasons for the crisis or obstacles in your life.
