It is all in the timing and this upcoming Full Moon, October 27th, IST has been identified as a prime time to remove your difficulties. By participating in the rice-abishekam ritual to Shiva, your previous birth karma will be wiped out, thereby, giving you a chance to move closer towards salvation.
During this once-a-year ritual to Lord Shiva, the full Shiva Lingam is covered with cooked rice. The pranic energy and life-nourishing qualities of rice invoke the power of Lord Shiva to come into the Shiva Lingam, a symbol of His energy and power.
Participate in the Individual homa to Lord Shiva at Astroved Fire Lab and Remedy Center on October 27th, IST and remove karmic blocks from all areas of your life. Performing this individual homa to Lord Shiva can purify you from previous birth karmas as you express gratitude for what you have been given.
You will receive sacred grey ash powder and kum-kum (Red Vermillion Powder), which will be blessed in the rituals. Keep this on your meditation altar and wear on your forehead during meditation or other times and expand the Divine blessings into your life.
Dr. Pillai explains this:
The ritual is the carbonization of thoughts. Carbon is our information bearing atoms.
The carbon residue (ash) given out as Prasad is to be placed on the third eye of
the participants and carries the blessings of the archetypes invoked.
Please Note: Your Prasad will be shipped from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Please allow 2 – 4 weeks for delivery after the entire set of rituals is performed.
Participate in the food feeding services on October 27th, IST. Donating food to people after the grand “Thanksgiving Rice Harvest” frees you from problems and provides success and peace of mind in all areas of your life. As you become part of the food feeding services to people, you will attract positive energy and get closer to Lord Shiva’s divine powers.
On this auspicious and important day, the Moon will be in Jupiter’s sign Pisces and the day would be ruled by the nourisher, the Moon. Bathing Lord Shiva with Annam (cooked rice) will block karma from the previous and current birth and bless us with Mukthi (Salvation).
This year planet Moon is situated along with Ketu, that governs salvation. Planet Ketu is in the 12th sign of the Natural zodiac Pisces which is Jupiter’s sign. The 12th sign signifies moksha, (salvation). When you worship Lord Shiva on this day, planet Ketu in the 12th sign will grant moksha (Salvation).
Anna Abhishekam is a unique life-force invoking ritual using cooked rice for Lord Shiva, the Master of higher consciousness. It is celebrated in South India mainly by farmers, as a thanksgiving for a good harvest and plenty of food as it coincides with the final rice harvest in this season. In 2015, this ritual will be performed on 27th October, IST. On this full Moon day, we submit our gratitude and thanks to Lord Shiva for the food and all that he has blessed us with.
Dhaanya Lakshmi is one of the 8 forms of Lakshmi. Dhaanya Lakshmi is the goddess who bestows with food grains in abundance. She is worshipped as the Goddess of harvest and she blesses with abundance and prosperity in Agriculture.
Goddess Dhaanya Lakshmi is represented in green attire (representing nature), with eight-arms – two arms carrying lotuses (Symbol of Lakshmi) one arm with a mace, one arm with paddy crop, one arm with sugarcane, one with bananas (all food crops), one hand shows Abhaya mudra (representing protection, peace and fearlessness) and the 8th hand shows Varada mudra (represents boon giver – giving nature, generosity, compassion, charity etc). She removes the fear of scarcity and blesses generously.
The best day to show our respects to her is the day of Anna Abhishekam. It is a time to thank Dhaanya Lakshmi for her compassion and grace as without food no living being can exist. Also pray to her that she should bless with a successful harvest and abundance of food in the years to come.
