Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Using AstroVed

How do I create an AstroVed Account?
  • Step1: Select the “Sign up” link; found on the top right corner of the web page.

  • Step2: Provide your personal information:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email ID (will be used as your User ID)
    • Gender
    • Desired Password
  • Step2: Click “Register Now” to complete your sign up process. Please wait till a pop up box appears, asking you to provide your:

    • Date of Birth (If not sure, click the check box below)
    • Time of Birth (If not sure, click the check box below)
    • Birth Country
    • Birth City/Location
  • Please Note: Once you have clicked on any of the check boxes, you will receive an e-mail from support@AstroVed.com for further assistance. Also, while choosing your Birth City/Location, be sure to select your city or the nearest one (within the range of 15Km).

  • You can also register now with your OpenID! OpenID is a safe, faster and easier way to log in to AstroVed with your existing G-mail, Yahoo, Facebook or Twitter accounts to explore our products and services. Can I add additional users to My Account?

Of course, you are free to add as many users as you wish. Here are the steps that explain the process in detail:

  • Step 1: Once you sign in to your account on AstroVed.com, you will find a button called “My Account”. Upon clicking the button, you will find many user friendly tabs. The first tab “Users” is what you have to click on.
  • Step 2: You will then find a button called “Add a New User” towards the right, where you can add members to your account. You can also choose the option called “Set as Default User”; to place the orders for our services for that particular user.
  • Step 3: You can also delete/edit the names of the sub users, when you want to.
How to access My Account?
  • If not signed in, please ‘Sign In’ to access your account.
  • If signed in, Click on your name which appears just before the ‘Sign In’ on the top right hand corner.
What do I do if I have forgotten My Password?
  • Step 1: Go to the Sign in page.
  • Step 2: Below the slots allocated for your user name and password, you can find an option called “Forgot your Password?”
  • Step 3: Upon clicking the option, you will have to enter your “UserId” so as to receive a mail to your personal ID (the e mail ID that you have subscribed to us). With this information you can log into your account successfully.
How do I change My Password?
  • Step 1: Once you sign in to your account on AstroVed.com, you will find a button called “My Account”. Upon clicking the button, you will find many user friendly tabs. The last tab “Change Password” is what you have to click on.
  • Step 2: Please confirm your Old Password.
  • Step 3: Enter and re enter your new password and save the information, in order to help us update your login credentials in our database.
Why do I have to enter the right birth location and birth time?

When you sign up for a membership with AstroVed.com, we provide you with FREE reports that you can run for yourself. These reports will include concise details about your character, daily indicator, lucky gemstone, Birth star report, romance compatibility chart and many more. For our astrologers to provide you with accurate reports, your birth location and birth time play the key role in the prediction process.

What if I was born in a small town that AstroVed does not recognize?

If you were born in a small town that is not listed in our database, then try providing the name of the city within a range of 15 Km from your birth place. This will help us in recognizing your place of birth.

Why do I have to enter a birth location?

Astrology utilizes map coordinates and time zones to create an accurate chart. Planetary positions would be different if you were born in Greenwich Connecticut, USA. or Greenwich England, because there is a big time difference between the two locations.

What is the purpose of the option “Current or intended Location”; how do I maintain or edit the same?

The “current/intended location” is where you currently live or where you intend to move. This information is initially created when a person becomes a member of AstroVed or when new users are added to your account. Some might want to list the address of their business. If you want to know the best time for proceeding with your personal matters, the location of your house address would be the best choice. Here are the steps that you should follow to maintain or edit the information:

  • Step 1: Once you sign in to your account on AstroVed.com, you will find a button called “My Account”. Upon clicking the button, you will find many user friendly tabs. The second tab “Locations” is what you have to click on.
  • Step 2: Upon clicking the Locations tab, it will allow you to either “Edit” the information or “Add a New Location” to the already existing information.
What is the correct format for entering the birth time?

The birth time is entered in the 24 hour time format. For example if you were born in the morning (AM) you would use “0 – 11” for 0 being 12 AM midnight. For mentioning the afternoon and evening times (PM), you would use “12 – 23 hours”; 12 being 12 PM noon. An example of this is; for a person born at 2:33 PM, the 24 hour time format would be: 14 Hour, and 33 Minutes or 14:23. For a person born at 2:33 AM, the 24 hour time format would be 2 Hours and 33 Minutes or 2:33.

When will the remedies I have ordered be performed?

All fire rituals and other remedies that you have ordered for will be performed on your “Birth star days”; except for Pradosham poojas and other specific homas. The Pradosham poojas will be performed on the Pradosham days, and the homas will be conducted on auspicious days as per our astrologer’s advice.

What is an “Order Log” and how will it keep a track of the items that I have ordered?

The “Order Log” will keep a record of the reports and products that have ordered for. The list of completed reports and products ordered will include the date that you placed an order on, as well as the cost of the item. If a product has been ordered, the current status of the order will be indicated. When the purchase has been fulfilled, a date will appear in the “Fulfilled On” slot in the Order Log.

The Order Log will also show details of the reports that have been processed for a period of up to 3 weeks. You can also choose to delete a report prior to that date, by selecting the “Delete” link next to the report’s name.

Here are the steps to follow to view your Order Log:

  • Step 1: Once you sign in to your account on AstroVed.com, you will find a button called “Order Log” towards the top right. Upon clicking the button, a new screen will pop up with a description about the Order Log.
  • Step 2: You will find an option called “Order History”, clicking this option will enable you to view your order history, dating back to a record of three weeks.
How do I add, edit, delete or set default shipping information?
  • Step 1: ADD SHIPPING INFORMATION: Once you sign in to your account on AstroVed.com, you will find a button called “My Account”. Upon clicking the button, you will find many user friendly tabs. The third tab “Shipping Information” is what you have to click on. A new screen opens up with an option for “Add New shipping information”. Click on the button for a new pop up to appear. In the new pop up screen you will have to enter your personal details to help us keep an account of your information; this is completely confidential to us.
  • Step 2: EDIT/DELETE/SET DEFAULT SHIPPING INFORMATION: Once you have entered the information needed and placed your orders, options like “edit”, “delete”, or “set default” will appear towards the right. Using these options you can view the status, delete, edit or set the default option.
How do I add, edit, delete or set default Payment information?
  • Step 1: ADD PAYMENT INFORMATION: Once you sign in to your account on AstroVed.com, you will find a button called “My Account”. Upon clicking the button, you will find many user friendly tabs. The fourth tab “Payment Information” is what you have to click on. A new screen opens up with an option for “Add New Payment information”. Click on the button for a new pop up to appear. In the new pop up screen you will have to enter your personal details to help us keep an account of your information; this is completely confidential to us. You also have an option to check the option and save your credit card number. AstroVed assures you that your credit card number is encrypted for safety and kept confidential. However, you can also choose not to save your credit card number in AstroVed’s database.
  • Step 2: EDIT/DELETE/SET DEFAULT PAYMENT INFORMATION: Once you have entered the information needed and placed your orders, options like “edit”, “delete”, or “set default” will appear towards the right. Using these options you can view the status, delete, edit or set the default option.
