Lord Hanuman can be worshipped on auspicious Horas that fall on Saturdays.
You can also participate in real time Hanuman homa or puja performed with elaborate rituals amidst Vedic chants by priests in India.
Hanuman was born to his mother Anjana and father Kesari after the Wind God (Vayu), on Shiva's advice carried his semen and implanted it Anjana's womb. Therefore, Hanuman is not only called Anjenaya, he is also called Vayu putra (Vayu's son). Mighty Hanuman showed signs of his power from his childhood when he tried to swallow the Sun imagining it to be a ripe fruit. While Hanuman was about to swallow the Sun, the God of Sky, Indra struck him with a thunderbolt and wounded him. This enraged the Wind God, and he threatened the Gods by sucking all the air from Universe. The Gods rushed to please him by showering divine powers on Hanuman. Brahma blessed him with eternal life, Indra gave him protection against any weapon, whereas Agni blessed him of being resistant to fire. Later, he became a student of the Sun to gain wisdom and developed profound knowledge of the Vedas too. Out of gratitude for the Sun, he came down on Earth to serve in the army of the Sun's mortal son Sugriva whose army helped Rama to reach the country of Lanka to rescue his wife Sita. With blessings from Vishnu, Hanuman was a great devotee of his avatar Rama, one the world has ever seen.
Hanuman is the mightiest, the most intelligent and the greatest of all devotees.
